Torso
concrete torso with pigment
Shown at Sam Alpa's vinyard in Cambridgeshire. Probably my first big solo show. He was hugely keen on art and I guess wanted to help. He had a fantastic collection with a gallery integrated into his house which you could see gave him enormous pleasure to walk through. I remeber we discussed the exhibition over a cup of tea in the kitchen, in the midle of the table was a Giacometi walking figure. I always think of that, just there part of the family as it should be. People sometimes dont buy work because they 'have no where to put it' If I buy work it is becuase I desperatly want it, I know at some point there will be a place for it.
